A Little Bit About the Librarian Associate...

Hi!  I'm Samantha Diehl, Dessau Elementary Librarian Associate. The '24-'25 school year will be my second year as the Library Associate on campus. I have been working in education on and off since 2008. I'm currently taking classes to complete my degree. My goal is to become a classroom teacher, and to continue to nurture students' love of learning.

I've been married now for 10 years and have three boys. My eldest is an eighth grader who loves participating in theater, my middle child is a seventh grader who participates in band, and my youngest is a fifth grader here at Dessau Elementary. I love all things Nightmare Before Christmas (since it was originally released back in '93). I love reading many different types of books. I also enjoy dressing up for various events.

My main emphasis as a librarian associate is to promote reading!  I want our students to enjoy listening to and reading books!  My hope is that I can help instill a lifelong love of reading in the hearts of students.
